Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: [06/22/2026]
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Art of Ronin, located at www.artofronin.com.
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Art of Ronin website, products, services, artwork, prints, commissions, digital content, and any related transactions or communications. By accessing the website, placing an order, submitting a request, or purchasing any product or service from Art of Ronin, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the website, place an order, or purchase products or services from Art of Ronin.
1. Overview
Art of Ronin is an art, print, and creative services business offering artwork, prints, merchandise, custom print services, and related products or services. All products are subject to availability, production requirements, shipping limitations, and the specific terms listed on the relevant product page or invoice. Art of Ronin reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or refuse any product, service, order, request, or transaction at its sole discretion.
2. Eligibility and Use of the Website
By using this website or purchasing from Art of Ronin, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or that you are using the website with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You agree not to use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to interfering with the website, attempting unauthorized access, copying protected content, or misrepresenting your identity or payment information.
3. Purchases and Order Information
When placing an order, you may be asked to provide information relevant to the transaction, including your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email address, and payment information. You agree that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. Art of Ronin is not responsible for delays, failed delivery, lost shipments, additional shipping costs, or other issues resulting from inaccurate or incomplete customer-provided information. Payment must be received and successfully processed before an order is accepted, produced, shipped, or fulfilled. Art of Ronin may cancel or refuse any order if payment cannot be verified, if fraud is suspected, if the item is unavailable, or if an error appears in pricing, product description, availability, or order details.
4. Payment Processing and Personal Information
Art of Ronin may use third-party payment processors, shipping providers, website platforms, or fulfillment services to process transactions and complete orders. Art of Ronin does not intentionally sell customer personal information and uses order information for purposes such as payment processing, production, fulfillment, shipment, customer service, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Art of Ronin does not knowingly store full payment card information directly unless expressly stated through a secure and compliant payment service. Payment information may be handled by third-party payment processors subject to their own terms and privacy practices. For more detail on how personal information is collected, used, stored, and shared, customers should review Art of Ronin’s Privacy Policy, if posted separately.
5. Product Descriptions, Images, and Availability
Art of Ronin makes reasonable efforts to display products, artwork, colors, sizes, materials, and descriptions accurately. However, website images may vary from the final printed product due to monitor settings, lighting, scanning, photography, paper type, printing processes, cropping, production tolerances, and other factors. All products are subject to availability. Art of Ronin may modify, discontinue, or limit quantities of any product at any time without prior notice. Minor differences in color, texture, paper tone, finish, margin, border, alignment, or print presentation are not considered defects unless the product is materially different from what was ordered.
6. Prints and Print Borders
Unless otherwise stated, prints may include an additional border, bleed, or margin area to help preserve the intended printed image size and presentation. For example, certain prints may include approximately two inches of additional bleed or border to ensure that the image area is properly preserved at sizes such as 18x24 inches or 24x36 inches. Art of Ronin is not responsible for trimming, mounting, matting, framing, or removing excess border or bleed unless such service is specifically purchased and listed in writing as part of the order. Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and understanding whether a print includes borders, bleed, margins, or other finishing features before purchase.
7. “LG” or Low Grade Prints
The term “LG” or “Low Grade” does not mean that the artwork or image quality is inferior. It refers only to the paper type used for the print.
LG prints use a paper stock more similar to a standard poster-style print, rather than the higher-grade watercolor paper used for premium versions. High-grade watercolor prints may use more specialized paper, including 100% cotton paper or other premium stock, when specified.
Customers are responsible for selecting the desired print grade at the time of purchase. Differences in paper type, texture, weight, finish, absorbency, and presentation are expected and are not considered defects.
8. Alternate Versions, Color Variants, and Customer Selection
Some prints may be available in alternate versions, including color variations, limited variants, composition differences, or other edition options.
When a product offers multiple versions, the customer is responsible for clearly selecting or notifying Art of Ronin of the specific version requested at the time of purchase. For example, if a print is available in blue or red, the customer must specify the desired version in the required order field, message, or written acknowledgement. If no version is selected or no required written instruction is provided, Art of Ronin may fulfill the order using the base, default, standard, or artist-selected version. No refund, exchange, cancellation, or reprint will be provided solely because the customer failed to select or identify the desired alternate version before fulfillment began.
9. Custom Sizes and Special Requests
Art of Ronin may offer custom print sizes, alternate formats, specialty paper, framing preparation, or other special services upon request. Custom sizing and special work are subject to availability, pricing, production feasibility, and written confirmation. No custom size, specialty format, or special request is guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by Art of Ronin before payment or production.
Custom, personalized, limited, or special-order items may be final sale once production has begun.
10. Production and Turnaround Times
Many Art of Ronin products are produced, printed, prepared, or fulfilled after an order is placed. Estimated production and turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. Art of Ronin may quote up to approximately three weeks for printing, preparation, and shipment processing, depending on the product, workload, paper availability, production requirements, order volume, holidays, vendor delays, and other operational factors. Domestic orders may often arrive sooner, but delivery timing is not guaranteed. International orders may require additional time due to customs processing, carrier handling, destination-country procedures, and other factors beyond Art of Ronin’s control.
11. Shipping
Shipping times are estimates only. Once a package is transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery timing, tracking updates, handling, customs processing, and final delivery are largely outside Art of Ronin’s control. Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Art of Ronin is not responsible for failed delivery, lost packages, delayed delivery, return-to-sender events, customs issues, additional fees, or other shipping problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated customer-provided information. Shipping costs, taxes, customs duties, import fees, brokerage fees, VAT, tariffs, or other destination-based charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated in writing.
12. International Shipping (discontinued - see below)
International customers are responsible for ensuring that the product can be lawfully imported into their country. Art of Ronin is not responsible for customs delays, import restrictions, confiscation, returned shipments, unpaid duties, local taxes, customs fees, or other destination-country requirements. Delivery estimates for international orders may vary significantly and are not guaranteed. Furthermore, be advised that we are only shipping domestically. However, if you're willing to pay the cost for shipping, and for a more protective box for your prints, we can certainly entertain it on a case by case basis. Please reach out to us to start the process. Otherwise, at this time, we are only shipping domestically.
13. Prints Returned Due to Failed Delivery
If a package is returned to Art of Ronin due to an incorrect address, incomplete address, refusal, failure to claim, inability to deliver, absence of a recipient, unpaid customs charges, or any other customer-related delivery issue, Art of Ronin may, at its discretion:
-
reship the item at the customer’s expense;
-
charge additional shipping, handling, or packaging fees;
-
deduct shipping and handling costs from any available refund or credit, if a refund or credit is approved; or
-
treat the order as fulfilled if the customer does not respond to reasonable attempts to resolve the returned shipment.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or unless Art of Ronin determines that the return resulted from its own error.
14. Weather, Heat, Moisture, and Delivery Exposure
Fine art prints, watercolor paper, cotton paper, poster stock, and other printed materials may be sensitive to sunlight, heat, moisture, rain, humidity, bending, crushing, or prolonged outdoor exposure. Customers are responsible for making appropriate delivery arrangements, especially in areas with unfavorable weather, high heat, rain, snow, humidity, theft risk, or exposed delivery locations. Art of Ronin is not responsible for damage caused after delivery by weather exposure, sun exposure, moisture, improper handling, failure to promptly retrieve a package, unsafe delivery location, or improper storage by the customer.
15. Lost, Stolen, or Marked-Delivered Packages
If a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, Art of Ronin will generally consider the order fulfilled. Art of Ronin is not responsible for theft, misplacement, building mailroom issues, third-party handling, incorrect delivery by the carrier, or failure by the customer to retrieve the package after confirmed delivery. Upon request, Art of Ronin may provide available order records, shipment records, tracking information, and delivery confirmation to assist the customer in filing a claim with the carrier or investigating the delivery. Replacement, refund, or credit for lost, stolen, or marked-delivered packages is not guaranteed and may be handled at Art of Ronin’s sole discretion unless otherwise required by law.
16. Damaged Items
Customers should inspect all packages and products promptly upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, the customer must contact Art of Ronin within [insert number] days of delivery and provide clear photographs of:
-
the damaged product;
-
the exterior packaging;
-
the interior packaging;
-
the shipping label; and
-
any visible carrier damage.
Failure to provide timely notice and documentation may limit or prevent Art of Ronin’s ability to assist with a replacement, claim, refund, or other resolution. Art of Ronin may, at its discretion, offer a replacement, repair, partial credit, refund, or other remedy for confirmed damage occurring before delivery. Damage caused after delivery, including weather exposure, improper storage, mishandling, framing damage, trimming damage, or customer alteration, is not eligible for refund or replacement.
17. Refunds, Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Because Art of Ronin operates as an art, print, and creative services business, all sales are generally final unless otherwise stated in writing.
No refunds are provided for services already rendered, custom work already begun, commissioned work, special-order prints, limited items, digital goods, downloadable content, or products produced specifically for a customer. Order cancellations may be accepted only if requested before production, printing, fulfillment, or shipment has begun. Once work has begun, Art of Ronin may deny cancellation or retain all or part of the payment to cover work performed, materials, processing fees, administrative time, and other incurred costs. Returns or exchanges are not accepted for buyer’s remorse, incorrect size selection, failure to read the product description, failure to select the correct version, color expectations based on monitor settings, paper-type preferences, border or bleed preferences, or delivery issues caused by customer error.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights customers may have under applicable law.
18. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Art of Ronin directly to attempt to resolve any order concern before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Art of Ronin maintains records of purchases, invoices, communications, shipment, tracking, delivery confirmation, and fulfillment activity. These records may be used in responding to chargebacks, payment disputes, fraud claims, or legal inquiries. Fraudulent chargebacks, false claims, or abuse of the dispute process may result in cancellation of future orders, refusal of service, collection efforts, or other remedies available under law.
19. Artwork, Copyright, and Intellectual Property
All artwork, images, designs, logos, graphics, written content, photographs, product images, site content, and other materials displayed on or sold through Art of Ronin are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated.
Purchasing a print, product, commission, or service does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights, commercial rights, licensing rights, resale manufacturing rights, or ownership of the underlying artwork. Customers may not copy, reproduce, scan, photograph for commercial use, distribute, sell, modify, create derivative works from, mint as NFTs, use for artificial intelligence training datasets, use in machine-learning systems, upload to print-on-demand services, or otherwise exploit Art of Ronin artwork without prior written permission.
A purchase grants the customer ownership of the physical item purchased only, not the intellectual property rights in the artwork.
20. Commissions and Custom Artwork
Commissioned artwork, custom designs, private requests, and special projects are subject to separate written terms, pricing, timelines, revision limits, usage rights, and payment requirements. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Art of Ronin retains all copyright and intellectual property rights in commissioned or custom artwork. The customer receives only the specific rights expressly granted in writing.
Deposits, partial payments, and milestone payments for custom work may be non-refundable once work has begun.
21. User Submissions and Communications
If you send Art of Ronin reference images, ideas, concepts, notes, feedback, comments, files, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to provide them and that they do not infringe the rights of any third party. You grant Art of Ronin permission to use such materials as reasonably necessary to evaluate, produce, communicate about, or fulfill your request. Art of Ronin is not responsible for unsolicited ideas, concepts, pitches, or submissions and may decline, ignore, or delete such submissions at its discretion.
22. Third-Party Links and Services
The Art of Ronin website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, payment processors, shipping providers, social media pages, or external services. Art of Ronin does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, policies, security, availability, actions, or practices.
Use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
23. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website, products, services, and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, except as expressly stated otherwise in writing.
Art of Ronin makes no warranties that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components. Art of Ronin does not guarantee that product images, colors, measurements, descriptions, delivery estimates, or availability will be perfectly accurate at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Art of Ronin disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and course of dealing.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Art of Ronin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost business, emotional distress, replacement costs, or damages arising from shipping delays, carrier issues, website errors, product availability, customer misuse, weather exposure, or third-party services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Art of Ronin’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to all customers.
25. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Art of Ronin, its owners, artists, employees, contractors, vendors, partners, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your use of the website, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, your misuse of purchased products, your infringement of third-party rights, or any materials you submit to Art of Ronin.
26. Refusal of Service
Art of Ronin reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, block access, limit purchases, or terminate communications with any person or entity for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud, abusive conduct, payment disputes, harassment, intellectual property violations, resale abuse, or violation of these Terms.
27. Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions
Occasionally, the website may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions related to product descriptions, pricing, availability, shipping charges, images, promotions, or other content. Art of Ronin reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information is inaccurate, even after an order has been submitted.
28. Changes to These Terms
Art of Ronin reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website or purchase of products or services after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
29. Governing Law

Any disputes arising from these Terms, the website, products, services, or transactions with Art of Ronin shall be handled in the courts or dispute-resolution forum located in [Insert County and State], unless otherwise required by applicable law.
30. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any posted policies, invoices, order confirmations, product descriptions, commission agreements, or written agreements between the customer and Art of Ronin, constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Art of Ronin regarding the website, products, services, and transactions.
